Ideas
Before deciding on the genre of our opening sequence, we brainstormed different genres, locations, possible titles, props and costumes our characters could be wearing and using. The final idea we all agreed on was doing a romantic comedy, using two actors (male and female) and show their two totally different live styles.

Film openings
I have looked at some low budged British film openings as well as some romantic comedies. In most openings, the rule of thirds is used. Some have music in the background, some have just dialogue and some have both, dialogue and music. The tiles come up at different times, in some film openings I've analysed the title comes at the beggening but in some at the end. I think this has a big effect on the viewer as the titles usually give some information on what happend or what will happen later on in the movie.
