Titles

Select the clip you want to put the text on.
In the bottom left click 'view item'.
 Click 'next'.
Name the text. For example in this we typed 'Jessie' because that's the name of our actor.
Click the text 't' to type. To move just use the mouse to movie it around.

Now you can play around with different styles, fonts and colours.

Michael Buble Song!!!

Me and my group have decided that for our opening sequence we wanted to use the song Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble however because of the copy right issues we had to ask for permission and surprisingly we got a reply from the Michael Buble management.

This is the email one of the group members Ashleigh wrote to the Michael Buble management.

And this is the reply we got from them. The email said that we are allowed to use this song for our school project!

Split Screen

To create a split screen in Adobe Premiere, I choose two clips and placed them on the video timeline.

In the Effects Control panel adjust the size of the clips.

Move the clips around using the 'position' option or double click on the clip and then adjust the size and positioning.

After adjusting the size and position of the clips, I used the razor tool to cut the clips to make them the same length.

Production Logo process

Me and my group have decided to create a production logo for our opening sequence. The rest of my group did a photoshoot of silhouettes without me as I couldn't attend it at that time so we replaced me with another person. Iqra edited the pictures and made them black and white and got rid of all the shadows.

Our production and distribution names originated from the names off all the group members;

ANIE production WALT distribution

Ashleigh
Nicole
Iqra
Ewelina

Weir
Abbas
Lekowska
Thapa

The first idea we had was having a moving image as a production logo however we discussed this idea and decided that it would be too complicated and we would face too many difficulties trying to create the effect we wanted. Finally we decided that a still image is the best idea.

The decision was to make the production and distribution with colourful clouds that pop up. Then we decided that it won't look too realistic and would not suit all movie genres that our production and distribution could produce and distribute in the future. These are a few different examples of how we played around with the fonts, colours and positioning of the titles;

                                                                Different fonts

                                                                     Final Logo

Continuity problems - Jesse

After filming the first few scenes of our opening sequence, we realised that we are going to have some problems with continuity. Our male character had a haircut therefore we had to re-film all of his clips. Here's two pictures of Jesse in the first clip we filmed and a picture of the recent clip we used to replace the old one.

The haircut wasn't the only continuity problem we had. After putting the clips together we realised that our actor was wearing different clothes at the beginning of the video (jeans and white t-shirts) and different clothes at the end (grey t-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms). We had to re-film the clips from the beginning of the video but instead of Jessie putting his clothes straight after he gets out of bed we had him doing everything just in his underwear (eating, using deodorant, washing his face).

Foley sounds

Me and my group have recorded some foley sounds to put in the background of our video. We recorded sounds like a kettle boiling, pouring water into a cup, curtains moving and people walking. The foley sounds will help to add more realism and help to focus more on the 'main' sounds. Our opening sequence will have music playing throughout the whole video however we will insert some foley sounds and turn down the volume of the music so that the sounds are still noticeable but not too overpowering.

Story Boards

In the first few shots our two characters are just waking up and getting out of bed.

The next difference we wanted to show is their eating habits. Nina is having proper breakfast with coffee and Andre just eats cereal in front of TV.  After we are having Andre going down to wash his face and Nina coming up. Then she puts on her makeup as we wanted to show how feminine she is.

After getting ready, our characters are ready to leave their house. As Nina lives in Central London, we filmed her going into Bond Street tube station and coming out in Greenford station.

At the end, Nina and Andre walk past each other on the crossing and that's when the title of our movie comes up.
